Trusty is back with his first original tune in years (as opposed to doing the occasional remix here and there). ‘Final warning‘ is one of a few new tunes coming out this month to celebrate his return to Prague, producing and DJing.
The first of his regular nights at Kontrast (R.I.P. Wakata) is happening this Saturday in Prague 7. Drop by if you fancy lounging and mingling with a vast array of electronic genres not too loud to talk over, yet loud enough to dance to. Everything but the drinks is free.
Shouts to Ondřej Žatkuliak (Rooftop studio) for his finely tuned mastering skills.
Stay tuned for more Trusty news very soon.
“Good things come to those who wait” should be our new slogan.
In true TVL style, without rushing it, a new album is out from a band called Bordel. The main three protagonists may look familiar: ‘Inside’ rappers Sax, Acme & Ya1see (no that’s not a typo) recently joined forces with a group of musicians combining their own brand of hip-hop with some live instruments. Admittedly this doesn’t sound like anything new, but rarely does the result span from reggae to punk via trueschool and newschool.
If you aren’t interested by now, there’s no point in reading any further!
The new LP ‘Generální úklid‘ is available to order now on vinyl and will be released on all good servers shortly. If you hate waiting for post and like drinking and eating good food while listening to good music, come and grab a copy of the LP directly from the TVL crew at this Friday night’s (09.09.16) release and listening party at the primary TVL hangout: Wombat Café. All previous TVL releases also available to listen, purchase and sign on spot.
If for some reason all this information hasn’t quenched your Bordel thirst, you can start the online stalking/trolling (whatever takes your fancy) with the most recent music video from the album…
Oh, did we mention that there is free food and drinks at the release party?
Just rewarding the few of you who actually read articles.
A long time ago on some hard disks not so far away… Several gigabytes of TVL releases were compromised due to hardware fails and stupidity. Years later, thanks to previously unknown sources, we have managed to salvage some acceptably listenable versions of a bunch of the tracks that we thought were lost forever.
F2B and Trenčín Town’s Pazooka is here to kick off “The Lost Files” series with volume 1: Henny Sips featuring Emdee & C. Monts. The release includes the original (three year old) SK/UK glitch hop stinker, plus Trusty‘s “almost as old as the original” trip hoppy remix with cuts by local DMC Champ DJ Flux and the most recent remix by Bad Mojo. None of us can describe it’s genre so you’ll just have to work it out for yourselves.

Just when you thought that rap’s vocabulary was doomed to stay the size of a gnat’s erection, Johnny Youngblood returns with the ultimate follow up to his debut album ‘Sea dream moniker‘. The new album ‘S.D.M. II‘ is out now as a ‘Pay what you like’ digital release via BandCamp.
While heavy on the milkord and Trusty beats, the album also features production by Smiles TF1, Fremisbeats, pyrvmxdz, Freezer, and Below the BVLD, along with bars from C. Monts, C-Bugz, IronKap, and Wu’s very own Solomon Childs. The whole album was recorded and mixed at Rooftop studio, Prague. Artwork and videos by Trusty.
Check out the first single/video ‘New cents‘ and expect a new track/video (or two) to drop with a custom cover on the TVL YouTube channel every week from now. More music videos are in the works so keep tuned…
SPECIAL OFFER! Donations over 199,- kč will be rewarded with a copy of the CD when it drops next month alongside the first physical release of ‘Sea dream moniker’. Donations over 399,- kč will get you both CDs and maybe a little something extra. Just make sure you send Johnny a message with your purchase and give your name and address.
“Listen up… look up at the stars. That’s where it is, Johnny Youngblood will always give you bars”
Johnny Youngblood, The Machine
Come out, come out, wherever you are… Heeere’s Johnny! Youngblood is back to welcome the new year with his latest music video “NEW CENTS” from the upcoming album “SDM II”.
Produced by Ohio’s milklord and recorded at Rooftop Studio Prague. The video was shot at Studio SAVEC and cut in the TVL FILMS department.
Keep your eyes peeled for more new Youngblood coming soon.
Next up: Live double bill with James Cole’s “Moby Dick” tour and Trusty’s live trio (Trusty, Trommel Tobi & DJ Negative) featuring special guest MCs playing brand new material from various TVL releases. Check out the event page for more.
Straight out of Žižkov, Trusty has just reworked the Shadow Drop classic ‘Nordic Ice’ from C. Monts’ upcoming EP, ‘Flawed, Sincerely‘.
Czech rapper Acme (Inside/CL City) brings you the video for his first TVL single ‘Eat my shit‘. The full release will be available to download before the new year, followed by his 2nd solo album in 2014. Unlike his first album, the second will be almost entirely self-produced and will also feature several special guests on the ones and twos.
The partially sickening VHS inspired video was filmed and edited by Trusty and the beat was mostly produced by Acme. Finishing touches and scratches also handled by Trusty.
Enjoy you meal.
C. Monts is back with another video from the upcoming EP titled ‘Flawed Sincerely’. Shot and edited by Trusty with artwork and graffiti from Žďár’s own Oldřich Pátek. Beat produced by Vanilla featuring keys from Ghonzales and cuts by Trusty. Shouts to Bare Arms and New Scientist. Stay tuned for more news on the EP.
